INTRODUCTION Do you have one year in your life that you can say completely changed your life forever? That special year gave you a new outlook on life, made you realize how fortunate you are to have had your past experiences and made you appreciate your family, friends and life in general. Of course you have, almost all of us have had those life changing experiences. Let me tell you a little about myself and that will help you understand how my experiences really gave me a new outlook on life. I grew up in the 1940’s in the rural farm area of Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I was blessed to have had great parents, a loving family, great neighbors who always had time for a little boy and great friends. We always had food on the table, nice clothes to wear, plenty of laughter and the great outdoors as a playground. I couldn’t ask for a better childhood. When I graduated from high school in 1960, I wanted to see the world, so I joined the United States Air force two weeks after graduation. After serving four years, I reenlisted in the Air Force and ended up volunteering to serve in the Vietnam War in 1966. This is when it all began.
