A disgraced former assassin must confront his past and a dangerous new enemy to protect the innocent. Arin, once a feared blade for hire, now lives a life of quiet obscurity, haunted by the ghosts of his former profession. When a shadowy organization emerges, threatening to unleash a devastating magical plague upon the land, Arin is drawn back into the world he tried to leave behind. He must navigate treacherous political landscapes and battle formidable foes, all while wrestling with his own inner demons and the moral compromises he must make to prevent widespread destruction.

The Fallen Blade series continues its tradition of blending gritty action with compelling character development. Readers familiar with Arin's story will find themselves immersed once again in a world of political intrigue and dangerous magic. The narrative propels forward with a relentless pace, offering a satisfying continuation of the established arc. This installment is expected to deliver the same high-octane thrills and thoughtful exploration of morality that fans have come to expect from Kelly McCullough's work.
