A clandestine society of schoolboys embarks on a dark, ritualistic quest to summon a perfect being. Driven by a twisted sense of superiority and a desire to escape the mundane, these students form the Lychee Light Club, a secret organization dedicated to creating an artificial life form. They face internal power struggles, the encroaching realities of adolescence, and the terrifying consequences of their increasingly depraved experiments.

The Lychee Light Club is often noted for its unique and unsettling blend of psychological horror and dark fantasy, presented through Usamaru Furuya's distinctive art style. Critics and readers frequently point to its exploration of adolescent angst twisted into something sinister, examining themes of power, conformity, and the loss of innocence. The narrative's descent into depravity and its surreal elements are often highlighted as both disturbing and compelling. While its graphic nature and mature themes are not for everyone, the manga is recognized for its artistic merit and its provocative examination of dark impulses within a group dynamic.
