
During the past century, the idea of entanglement has traveled from philosophical conversations to practical calculations of quantum information. However, implementation is still in early stages of development. Production of significant numbers of entangled bits has not been achieved, as the generation of entangled systems is not yet scalable. We propose an alternative generation scheme of entangled photons, based on entanglement in both the space and time domains. In this work, we have provided the proof of concept. A pair generation and collection setup has been constructed, achieving a record number of entangled photon pairs per pump power. Measured interference between consecutive laser pulses shows that this method of 'harvesting' entanglement works in practice, as well as in theory.
