Countless winters ago, they used to call me Anastron, son of Anast… When others happened to ask of my origins, I told them proudly that I came from Ampheria, one of the greatest cities in the Empire of Atlantis.People looked at me like I were someone fraught with madness. “Impossible,” they said, “what you are saying is a lie! Hundreds of winters have come and gone but no ships are ever seen sailing from that place!” I kept silent every time, because they bitterly reminded me that they were right …But everything I said was the truth… Atlantis was my lost world, and during the days of my youth, only some island chains remained after the flood destroyed what used to be called “The Great Land.”Everything I lived was real. In my mind, the islands are still there, along with everything my people created. I can still see the tribes visiting my island in their big beautiful trading ships. I can still smell the morning smoke from the sacrifices on behalf of the God of the Sea. I can still recall the warm smiles of my friends, and the beauty of my first love.Yes it is the truth. My red-skin people ruled the world for countless winters. But my memories are filled with dark clouds, as during my time, the Empire had already suffered fifty winters of a civil war.
