
"Leaving Appalachia" is the story of a four year old boy whose direction in life is abruptly changed by the untimely death of his mother. He is taken away by a stranger, Aunt Ethel, to a remote community in southern Appalachia. Away from home and family he is cast into silent fear and questioning doubt that began his search and discovery that would break the bonds of the myths that imprison the human mind.
