The Gospel According to Thomas, discovered at Nag Hammadi in Egypt in the 1940s, is claimed by many to be a collection of the authentic sayings of Jesus, as recorded by the Apostle Thomas. This series of discourses on the sayings presents them in a language designed for the modern seeker. Osho uses each of Jesus's sayings as the seed for a discourse that encompasses many realms of experience - philosophy, science, religion, birth, death, love, fear, anger and guilt. Taking the sayings out of their narrower Christian context, he blends their wisdom with that of other religious traditions.
