A teacher answered a want ad and thought she'd found her "dream job" and spent almost a year teaching in the Marshall Islands. Told in excerpts from her actual letters, this is a true story of how the beauty of an ocean "paradise" cast a spell on the mind but emptied the spirit of a human soul and what her experience in the Marshall Islands portends for us today as the world careens toward the same social attitudes prevalent on these distant, deceptively beautiful islands.
