Beautiful, talented, absurdly accomplished Bonnie LeBlanc, the embodiment of all classic fairy tale heroines, has finally realized her dream and returned to her native North Georgia after over a decade abroad, often in the most trying and abusive circumstances. She moves into a run-down cottage in a run-down neighborhood and proceeds to change the lives of all around her. Meanwhile, the residents of Thistle Hollow are immersed in all sorts of pursuits. Big events are planned to raise money for the Save-Our-Hospital fund: a charity ball; a festival complete with local talent, a mischievous monkey, and a motley band of retired circus performers; a fireworks display; a concert by a popular country band; and a reception for the Governor, who is favoring the proceedings with his presence. What could possibly go wrong? What did not?
