North American players using 2 over 1 have difficulty playing against worldwide players who use extremely accurate bidding systems, transfers, and artificial bids that often right-side contracts. When the strong hand declares or when opponent’s strong hand is on lead, contracts frequently make that would otherwise fail. This book describes a strong 1C Opening with symmetric relays, an intermediate 12-15 hcp 1NT, strong 2-level preempts, and light 1-level openings with 4 card Majors, which often lead to finding 4-4 fits early. UBC “right-sides” the contract so that the strong hand is often “camouflaged”, making it difficult for opponents to defend. Camouflage is key 21st century bidding success, yet most bidding systems ignore it as a key principle.
