The Problem of the Day Stand-Up Flipchart is a resource of mostly nonroutine problems that invite creative and divergent thinking about mathematics. There is a problem and an Extension of the problem for each lesson of the student edition. For each chapter there is at least one problem from each of the following basic strands of Numeration and Computation, Geometry and Measurement, Patterns and Algebra, and Probability and Statistics. The problems in the flipchart are sequenced so that they make use of the mathematics students have studied up to that point in the program. The Problem of the Day Teaching Guide contains a solution and an Extension for each problem. Each problem and solution are also reproduced in the Teacher's Edition with each lesson.
