The Citizens Advice Bureau is a hugely respected voluntary sector organisation that provides advice to thousands of clients across the UK each year. When Paul Lowe joined a local Bureau as a Money Adviser, he expected to make a real difference to the lives of people in financial difficulty. What he did not expect was three years of turmoil. From an unstable Manager to an incompetent Management Committee, Paul was exposed to misconduct, bullying, harassment, alcoholism, knife fights, sexual predators and to a cult-like movement. Ultimately the Bureau collapsed due to financial mismanagement. His story is shocking and proves that any organisation, despite it's reputation, is capable of self-destruction if not managed properly.
