Author Description

Students explore factors and multiples of 100; 1,000; and 10,000; solve problems and puzzles that involve building numbers in different ways, such as skip counting, multiplying factor pairs together, and creating expressions with the four basic operations; find factor pairs of multiples of 100 up to 1,000 and factor pairs of 10,000; and use relationships among landmark numbers up to 10,000 to develop computation problem-solving strategies involving the four basic operations. Includes tasks for assessing students' thinking and reasoning about number and computation.
