This book investigates the technical requirements and programming interfaces necessary to develop applications for the Novell NetWare disk environment. The author, Davis, provides a structured examination of the low-level system calls and file system architecture required to interface with NetWare servers. By focusing on the specific API sets available to developers, the text establishes a framework for managing network storage resources and optimizing data access protocols within a client-server architecture.

Experts identify this text as a specialized resource for legacy systems programming and network administration. Readers frequently note the technical density of the prose, which assumes a foundational understanding of C programming and network architecture.
