Art historian Gabriel Murray, in an extensive detailed academic study for the first time investigates in great detail the theory that Leonardo da painted two Vinci Mona Lisa; two different paintings worked on at different times, with one version being begun in 1503 and left unfinished, and the Louvre Mona Lisa being begun after 1513. This book brings together all of the evidence and also uncovers more extraordinary research that adds new providence to the credibility of these claims made by other historians including The Mona Lisa Foundation. The author undertook a 3000-mile journey across Europe, to visit archives, libraries and museums to uncover the truth behind the lost history of Mona Lisa.
