Lyme disease is a spiritual wakeup call. This is a time of a great awakening and Lyme disease is a spiritual messenger from higher dimensional realms. The author, Duke Tate, became bedridden and close to death's door after being bitten by a wolf tick as he was hiking on the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut. He went through traditional treatments which gave him minimal and often, no relief, from his debilitating symptoms. While battling with Lyme disease, the author had a vivid and profound dream... He was walking in a heavily wooded forest and came upon a fork in the road. Ahead on one path was an old friend from his past and all along that path were thousands of white plastic straws. To the left, was another path and at the end of it stood a white wolf with brilliant blue eyes staring at him. At the time he wasn't sure of what the dream meant, so he went to a dream interpreter who told him the meaning of the dream was that he was at a fork in the road of his life. The path of straws represented the path "of the world" where his friend was waiting for him. The other path of the white wolf, was a spiritual path that was also waiting for him. This illuminating dream put the author on a deep spiritual journey where he explored the wisdom and messages from mystics, spiritual teachers and sages. The deeper message of Lyme disease is about getting in alignment in your life. Lyme disease led the author on the path to deeper alignment in his life. Along the way, he encountered a Mexican Sufi Master named Ali Dede who ran an Institute in Mexico. Dede was an enlightened doctor who had trained all over the world and agreed to take on Duke as a student and a patient.
