The number of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) policies governing development of command, control, communication, intelligence, and weapon systems has sharply increased. They include conflicts and redundancies. DoD should consolidate policies and make them more actionable and traceable. Net-centric implementation documents should specify the technical standards with which GIG programs will have to comply for interoperability.
