17-year-old Sarah gets pregnant James breaks up with Sarah, leaving her to face the pregnancy alone. Her parents support her but are disappointed. Near the end of her pregnancy, Sarah learns her baby will likely have cerebral palsy due to lack of oxygen. Sarah delivers prematurely and makes the heartbreaking decision to put the baby girl up for adoption. Though it is incredibly difficult, Sarah chooses adoption so her daughter can have the care she needs.
