Reviews the state of knowledge with regard to the various anatomic and physiologic methods available to identify asymptomatic patients who are at high risk to develop a future stroke. This illustrated text is targeted towards physicians involved in clinical decision making regarding revascularization of patients with asymptomatic carotid stenosis.
