This guide aims to provide PlayStation 2 gamers with comprehensive cheat codes and secrets for popular games released in 2005 and prior. The author, BradyGames, is a well-known publisher of video game strategy guides, and this book compiles codes from various sources to offer players advantages such as invincibility, level access, and unlockable content. The primary argument is that readily available cheat codes enhance the gaming experience by providing players with shortcuts and hidden features.

This guide is presented as an essential resource for PlayStation 2 owners seeking to enhance their gameplay through cheats and secrets. Its value lies in its compilation of codes for a wide array of popular titles, offering players direct access to advantages that might otherwise be difficult to discover. The book's low price point positions it as an accessible tool for a broad gaming audience.
