This fourth annual supplement to the second edition compiled by the American Bar Association's Section of Labor and Employment Law provides a balanced perspective on employee benefits law. The Bureau of National Affairs' editors cover significant legal developments from 1997 through 2001 plus post-2001 Supreme Court decisions, legislation, and major new regulations. The volume begins with a brief history of post-Employee Retirement Income Security Act legislation, and concludes with tables of cases, ERISHA and Internal Revenue code sections. A new feature is the use of substitute rather than supplementary texts in discussing areas witnessing major changes in the law. The first edition was published in 1991.
