The powerful icon of the mother has been featured in art since the beginning of time. Now, Mothers 2001 exhibits thirteen full-colour works of art including a Mary Cassett depiction of a mother and daughter; The Monet Family in Their Garden by douard Manet; Kitagawa Utamaros woodblock print of a mother cradling her sleeping baby; First Steps by Vincent Van Gogh; and Madame Charpentier and Her Children by Pierre Auguste Renoir.
