This two-volume work presents the reports of judicial procedures from the year 2000, from the ongoing human rights trials being carried out by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. The cases, motions, judgments, and decisions are presented in chronological order in both French and English (on facing pages). Among those whose trials appear in these volumes are Zlatko Aleksovski, Tihomir Blaskic, Goran Jelisic, Dario Kordic, Dusko Sikirica, Milan Simic, among many others, all tried for their potential role in the acts of inter-ethnic violence that preceded and followed the division of Yugoslavia. All testimony, including that given by witnesses, is presented in full. An index is provided for the various articles cited; there is no subject index. Published on behalf of the United Nations by Martinus Nijhoff, an imprint of Brill. Annotation:2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com).
