This alphabetical drug index contains both proprietary and generic drugs, and lists each drug's major action and/or body system affected. This "body system code" is described in the Body Systems Key, followed by the Glossary, which defines each term. Updated annually, the IDI is well-organized and easy to use. Further, the 1999 edition will incorporate mixed letter cases, making the book even more appealing to medical transcriptionists.
