Abstract: Community College Support Program, (CCSP) is an intensive case management approach to assisting students at high risk of dropping out or quitting school altogether. The support provided through CCSP will involve one-on-one counseling and therapeutic techniques to address individual students in their environment. Also, CCSP promotes an environment of inclusion and belongingness. Attending to the individual student by focusing on their perceptions and attitudes addresses how students see themselves in the world. This program aims to empower students who feel out of place in the college atmosphere. Education is the focus of this grant. However, this project focuses on underrepresented students. As students experience various challenges and barriers that obstruct learning, earning a degree, or transferring to a 4-year institution, dropping out is a consideration many people face. This project is essential for strengthening families, systems, and communities by keeping people in school and building them up instead of watching them fail.
