Sears is the editor and publisher of Two Lines: a journal of translation and the founder of the Center for Art in Translation. A translator of Italian poetry, she has a BA in Humanities from Yale University and an MA and PhD in Italian literature from Stanford University. She is translator and editor of A Primer of Italian Fascism with Jeffrey Schnapp and Maria Stampino (European Horizons, May 2000).
