A report on the number of Federal and state applications for orders authorizing or approving the interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications. Includes the investigation, location of the intercept, cost of the surveillance, and the number of arrests, trials, and convictions which are a direct result of the surveillance. The report covers intercepts which were concluded between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 1993, and supplemental information on arrests and convictions resulting from intercepts concluded in prior years.
