Author Description

Sam is an illustrated storybook about a young girl discovering the meaning of right and wrong through the eyes of her older neighbor with whom she develops a close friendship. It centers around Sam's struggle to make sense of a series of unfortunate interactions with a neighbor boy. Although primarily aimed at early/middle grade readers, it is a story with unique cross-age appeal that can also be enjoyed by a young child as a read-aloud or given for inspiration as a gift to a high school graduate, an adult facing difficulties, or an older person nearing the last chapter of life.
