The year is 1993. The place is Emerald. Jake Emerald is in this year’s graduating class. Remember those days? Jake’s girlfriend, Arlene, has a couple of years to go before graduation. Things are going to be different between them. Jake is no longer part of the high school scene, which presents a problem. Jake and Arlene were a solid couple, but that relationship is put to the test. Meanwhile, 30 miles away, Rachael Meadows, also a 1993 graduate but from a different town, is embarking on her college career. And that involves several men in her life. She is very popular with the guys but in a way she will live to regret. Jake and Rachael meet at college, and a relationship begins. Both lives change. All this leads to some exciting and scary scenarios including finding a dead body in her apartment. But this is only the beginning. The little town of Emerald, Iowa, will have a great impact on Rachael. It is what happens on anyone who comes for a visit. It might even happen to you!
