Antonio's Story is the illustrated story of how Antonio Ortega was diagnosed as a non-speaking autistic person with cognitive impairments when he was two years old. Unwilling to accept that her son's life was over before it had even begun, his mother, Gabriella, assisted by Antonio's maternal grandmother, Carmen; worked tirelessly to find the support that he would need to be successful.
