The Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research (FRASER) started in 2004 as a data preservation and accessibility project of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. FRASER's mission is to safeguard and provide easy access to the nation's economic history-particularly the history of the Federal Reserve System-through digitization of documents related to the U.S. financial system. FRASER preserves and provides access to economic and banking data and policy documents. To this end, various types of documents have been digitized, including: publications of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, publications of District Federal Reserve Banks, states and speeches of Federal Reserve policymakers, archival materials of Federal Reserve policymakers, government data publications, statistical releases, books and Congressional hearings.
This document presents data on employment and earnings from October 1984, as archived by the Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research (FRASER). FRASER, established by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, aims to preserve and provide access to the nation's economic history. This particular publication is part of a larger effort to digitize and make accessible critical economic and banking data, including publications from the Board of Governors and District Federal Reserve Banks, policy documents, and government data releases. The archival system ensures that historical economic information remains available for research and understanding of the U.S. financial system.
This document is part of the FRASER collection, which is recognized for its role in preserving and providing access to vital economic history. The collection's mission is to safeguard and digitize documents related to the U.S. financial system, making it a valuable resource for researchers and policymakers. As an archived government publication, its authority stems from its origin within the Federal Reserve System. The accessibility provided by FRASER ensures that historical economic data, such as employment and earnings figures from specific periods like October 1984, remains available for study and analysis.
