This work investigates the technical and aesthetic feasibility of transcribing Gabriel Fauré’s choral masterpiece, Cantique de Jean Racine, for a guitar duo ensemble. Jan Hron, a musician and arranger, utilizes his expertise in guitar performance to adapt the original 1864-1865 composition for a new instrumental medium. The text provides the necessary musical notation and structural adjustments required to maintain the harmonic integrity of the original piece while navigating the physical constraints of the guitar.
