Van Morrison Made In Marin, 1974-1979 is a study of how the Belfast Cowboy created the singer-songwriter model that furthered his career during his six years living north of San Francisco in Marin. In this period, he experienced a self-defined program of intense reading in the literary masters of the Romantic poets. The result was the making of a rock 'n' roll songwriting genius with a literary pedigree. He mastered the business end of the record industry and he was shaped by the bustling musical influences of the 1970s. As Morrison's music evolved, he steadily carved out his legacy among rock 'n' roll's greatest songwriters, setting the stage for his eventual induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
