This volume serves as a comprehensive index to international public opinion surveys conducted between 1979 and 1980. It aims to provide researchers and scholars with a centralized and accessible resource for understanding global public sentiment on a wide range of issues during that period. The index compiles data from various polling organizations worldwide, offering a structured overview of survey findings.

This index is a specialized reference work, likely valued by academic researchers and social scientists for its systematic compilation of data from a specific two-year period. Its utility lies in providing a structured gateway to primary survey data that might otherwise be difficult to locate. The work's value is directly tied to the comprehensiveness and accuracy of its indexing of the available public opinion polls from 1979-1980.
