This rich collection of more than 400 works of Ukrainian lyric poetry ranges from anonymous seventeenth-century songs to twentieth-century symbolist poetry. Includes works by H. Skovoroda, I. Kotliarevsky, M. Shashkevych, T. Shevchenko, I. Franko, P. Kulish, M. Cherniavs'ky, L. Ukrainka, O. Kobylianska, P. Tychyna, B. Lepky, B. Hrinchenko, M. Kostomarov, M. Rylsky, and many others. The poetry is presented in a number of thematic sections: Love, Fate, People, Land, Past, Horizon, City, Minutes, Creativity, and Struggle.
