In today's modern world of Artificial Intelligence, social media recording every second lived, cell phones now literally screwed into the ears of everyone under fifty, it is not unusual for a teenager, selected by machine algorithm, to come into possessions of millions of dollars. It is done through sports, cavorting naked to raucous sounds presented as music, or by having several million 'followers' pass electronic video of each other eating Tide pods or firing skyrocket up 'their' asses. And under no circumstances do people interact face to face, that would not be 'safe'. Butt fifty years ago it was a different culture all together. This is the final volume of five books, fictionalized from factual lives, of Malibu Bowman, not quite twenty-one. His existence is a complicated juxtaposition of being a Captain in a clandestine Army Intelligence unit and at the same time a major drug supplier in Los Angeles. His official front for both enterprises is a military antique and firearms dealership with obvious Nazi overtones. Further complicating his life is his first marriage to a pregnant divorcee several years older, and being reunited with his ex-girlfriend who already has a son by him. Not an unusual condition for today's society of baby mamas and daddies, but in this strange past world people married and formed nuclear families. Malibu, Kathy and Debbie are no exception, forming their union through a quiet polygamous sect. As far as the money, Malibu already has millions in property and cash, with much more on the way. And every cent he has accumulated has been from up close and personal confrontations which can result in bloodshed without warning. Bikers, strippers, drug dealers, and underworld spies all blend into California Sixties moving into the new decade. It's a world in which today's snowflakes would find themselves in hell.
