Excerpt from Poultry and Egg Situation: September 1971 The 90-day price freeze probably will have no significant effect on poultry and eggs with the possible exception of processed eggs and turkeys. Included under the freeze are dressed poultry and processed eggs. Live poultry and non-processed shell eggs are exempted. The President's economic package limits prices of processed items at levels not greater than the highest of those pertaining to a substantial volume of transactions during the 30 days ended August 14, 1971, or on May 25, 1970. In some cases where prices normally fluctuate in distinct seasonal patterns, the seller may be permitted to establish price ceilings using the seasonal period of 1970.
