The Kangaroo March was the second and longest of the recruiting marches held during the First World War. It commenced in Wagga Wagga on 1 December 1915 with about eighty-eight marchers and arrived in Sydney on 7 January 1916 with a nominal strength of 222 after a march of 560 kilometres. A re-enactment of the Kangaroo March is being organized for 2015 to celebrate its centenary.
