The articles that comprise this volume have emerged largely from a multi-religious pilgrimage of compassion they, along with seventy other religious leaders, undertook to Gujarat in the wake of the communal carnage that erupted in the state. The book also contains contributions by Arundhati Roy and Harsh Mandar.
