Excerpt from Flowerfield Spring Planting 1956 Caladiums are grown for their fancy leaves which are as colorful as any ower. Individual leaves vary in size from 6 to 10 inches long; the whole plant grows to about 2 feet in height and almost as broad. Caladiums make wonderful pot plants indoors during the winter months. (plant 1 bulb to an 8-inch pot). In midsummer they are vastly effective in the shaded areas where they can be planted directly in the sun-warmed soil. For pot planting: Immediate delivery. For summer outdoor growing: mid-may delivery. Single mexican. Pure white, star-like owers open at tip of the long, fragrant tubes. Flower heads resemble an over-sized, loosely formed Hyacinth.
