Excerpt from Agricultural Conservation Program: Statistical Summary 1954 Information with respect to the extent of conservation measures performed under the l95h Agricultural Conservation Program and amounts of assistance given for such measures was obtained fran performance reports filed by participants in the program. The amounts shown under Assistance were obtained by tabulating the actual amount of funds paid as the Federal cost share to the farmer for the performance of the practice. The amount of assistance shown for the conservation practices in this publication varies fran the Credit Value data which was shown in previous years' publications in that the Credit Value was not identical with the amount of assistance actually given (see Agricultural Conservation Program Statistical Summary The Assistance shown for each practice does not include any of the funds for Small Cost Share Increases which are required by legislation.
