Author Description

Glen Hacking Calder was born July 25, 1924 and Shirley Marie Smith Calder was born March 22, 1932. They married on September 19, 1952. This family history project is a collection of their letters from the January 1953 until Shirley’s death on February 25, 1993 and then his letters until Glen died in May 2004. This book includes letters they wrote to family, professional colleagues and friends from 1953 to 1956. Other volumes include Glen and Shirley’s letters from January 1957 until his death on in 2004. In other books are their individual letters and journals previous to their marriage, their courtship and early marriage letters, and Glen’s Church mission and military service letters. Glen and Shirley were the parents of eight children.
