The time frame studied in this book -1910-1950- is one of the most important of the "Limeña" architecture. During these 4 decades the most representative architecture of the city of Lima was created, through a modernistic process that designed and constructed numerous buildings that still stand in the historic downtown, the landmark streets and avenues and the main plazas of the city. During the first half of the 20th century the surrounding districts were also consolidated in a urban development that has defined the city as we know it today.
