Author Description

We Who Are Not Native is an interdisciplinary assemblage of text and art that seeks to parse out the visibility and representation (or lack thereof) of Asian Americans in contemporary America. The collection collages together original poetry, original photography, and digital scans of Asian and Asian American symbols as a means of reckoning with a past of immigration and discrimination, a present of ongoing erasure and fetishization, and a future of uncertain optimism.
