This book of poetry has been influenced by a lifetime of love, grief, and loss, from the romantic poets to the beat poets and the community of writers and poets and Southern California. It’s been influenced, too, by the season of the pandemic which all too often is measured by the milestones such as the figures of fatalities like a captive audience rolling over to the hundreds of thousands. More telling are the personal stories of loss which may not be fatal, but bare scars, and the personal recovery and return to living and loving.
