It is the purpose of this study (1) to examine the ag ricultural finance being done by the Production Credit System in relation to the job which Congress int ended it to do, (2) to bring together and analyse available information concerning the current financial position and operating efficiency of the system, (3) to analyse the amount and effect of federal sub sidy now given, and (4) to suggest a broad policy and course of action for the future.
