This book is about the squares and streets of old Moscow, about the people who lived in the city - about the owners of luxurious mansions, about the princes, manufacturers, traders, engineers, scientists, artists, writers and actors. The uniqueness of the book is that the description of almost every house accompanies the photo. Most of the old photos were of poor quality, so the author had to restore them. The book has 536 kinds of old Moscow. The author was able to clarify some historical facts, in particular, to determine the house where Alexander Griboyedov was born.
