"November 1918: Defeated and facing internal leftist uprisings and encroachments on its eastern borders, Germany quickly rebuilt its broken army with volunteers and paramilitary units, known as Freikorps. Among them were over sixty tactical aviation units, equipped with the latest aircraft, flown by veteran WWI aircrews.
