This book is a continuation from the last book “Avoyelles Parish Marriage Records, 1910-1919” by Ellen Dauzat. The records included herein are basically from 1918-1920. Marriage records give good historical information about a person. Records can name the parents and if they died previous to the marriage. The age of the bride and groom at the time of their marriage helps in determining an about birth date. Witnesses to the marriage could be relatives. The marriage books located at the Marksville, Avoyelles Parish Courthouse were copied by hand from the originals. This is a collection of marriage records from the originals.
