Women fought hard to win the right to vote. Finally, August, 1920 the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified and women won the right to vote. Now, 100 years later, we celebrate the accomplishments of our brave foremothers. With the vote, women have voted, campaigned, been elected to office and served in nearly every political capacity that men traditionally held.
